There's nothing we enjoy more than sharing the merits of the fine people that are part of the Intterra family any chance we get. However, this isn't your standard 'Get to Know the Team' type of post, as we're overjoyed to express the just how excited we are to have our new Chief Operations Officer, Molly Hausmann. We love the vision and capability Molly brings to her new executive role, and we intend to share a little more about her coming into this demanding role at Intterra.

5 Lessons We've Learned in 2016

Technology moves fast and in 2016 it moved even faster than we could’ve imagined. It’s been a great year. Along the way we have learned so many valuable lessons. We are excited to share some of them with you here as a comprehensive wrap up to the end of 2016.
Here are 5 lessons we think you will find valuable:
Keep Calm and United States Forest Service

Well, I guess we can't really tell you to stay calm. We sure aren't calm, we're really excited. Since we started in 2010, we at Intterra have been fortunate enough to achieve incredible success throughout the years. Our clients have enabled us to spread our wings and really evolve our technology. Because of this, we have been able to truly make a difference in the everyday lives of both the boots on the ground as well as the decision-making chiefs. This would not have been possible without all of you, and especially not without the U.S. Forest Service. They've given us some serious support and love over the years and we couldn't be more grateful.
So, without further ado, we are thrilled to announce that we will be continuing our partnership with them!
Something Wicked This Way Comes From Intterra!

"Wicked Good!" Oh yeah, something wicked good is coming your way from Intterra.
The Developers (a.k.a. "the Devs") and database gurus that I work among in our tech pit here at Intterra are super jazzed. After completing a ton of research earlier this year, they've learned new programming languages for a faster data structure and have been heads-down for weeks now building something we know you're going to appreciate. It's not just a new front-end look, it's an entirely new Intterra System Framework.
Treat Your Information Like You're in a Firefight.

Hate to break it to you, but fixing the IT problem is up to you, not to the young successors that you will promote next.
People talk about data, information, and analysis all the time. As a fire chief you have to listen, but you may not always feel comfortable with what you’re hearing. You tend to think about how hard it is to analyze data or how little control you have over the vast majority of it. Not to mention that the systems that hold this data (think CAD, Records Management, EPCR) live in other organizations like police departments and communication centers. Let’s face it, the information you need is not only hard to comprehend, but also hard to obtain.

Intterra is serious about emergency management. Our cloud-based software, SITUATIONANALYST (SA), is now the leading fire management application in the industry. SITUATIONANALYST provides an overview of live operations, planning, and public information right on your mobile device. SITUATIONANALYST also allows you to communicate more efficiently in order to deliver the utmost protection to your community. SA has provided invaluable benefits to California, Montana, and yes, even the U.S. Forest Service.
