Andy McMurry - Intterra's Account Manager

We always get so excited to bring you new information about a different member of our terrific staff every two weeks. At Intterra, each employee plays a uniquely valuable role. We really couldn't exist without everybody on the team. As part of our get to know the team series, we invite you to meet Andy McMurry this week. Andy is an Account Manager here at Intterra, and he makes a huge difference in our day-to-day operations. Aside from being great at what he does, he's a really important person in our lives overall. We depend on him for his wisdom and experience, and we love him for his example of how to love people. Here are his responses to our questions:

What are you passionate about (both personally and professionally)?

My passions follow my life priorities: faith, family, fun, and work. The things that I am most passionate about usually have a sprinkle of each of those four things in them. I am a thinker and love to contemplate the truth and mystery of my Christian faith which usually leads to a very humbling but rewarding conclusion. Over the course of my 30+year fire service career, I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the serious injury and death of co-workers. This led me to try and understand why people do the things they do on the fire ground and to try and prevent bad things from happening to people. I believe Intterra’s products and services provide better information that will prevent serious injury and death when used correctly.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I am a gun enthusiast, love to shoot, fix and build guns and everything that goes along with them. Hunting, fishing, traveling in our RV, and playing an occasional round of golf are also things that I do when I’m not blowing something up.

What is currently filling the number one spot on your bucket list?

My wife and I have always wanted to travel to Israel and tour the holy land. With my daughter still in college, it’s not an option right now, but it is still occupying the number one bucket list slot.

Other random stuff that would be interesting/educational/funny?

I hate instant replay in sports and have the ability to recall random useless information from cartoons I watched as a kid, but can't remember what I had for dinner last night.

We hope you enjoyed learning more about Andy! Be sure to check back in two weeks for our next employee spotlight. We love our team, and we hope you will too.
